GUWAHATI: A drive against drugs peddling was carried out by Panbazar police in the Lakhtokia area on Saturday and recovered about 23 grams of drugs suspected to be brown sugar, 940 empty plastic containers, 28 whiteners, ten mobile handsets, and Rs 5,000 in cash from the house of Monirom Nessa alias Boro Gedi, wife of Md. Rejak Ali; Jahura Khatoon, wife of Mandalay Ali; Sahera Khatoon, wife of Me Noor Islam; and Suraj Guwala, son of Raju Gowala of Don Bosco Tinali, Tinsukia. All of them have been apprehended.
