GUWAHATI, July 11: The Bharalumukh police arrested a vendor identified as Lakshmi Mahatu from Kumarpara near Bharalumukh on Wednesday allegedly for ripening of mangoes using a harmful chemical. According to the police source, the offender was caught red-handed by the locals while he was artificially ripening the mangos and handed him over to the Bharalumukh Police Station.
