GUWAHATI: Occurrence of an unanticipated event during the third semester examination of colleges under Gauhati University (GU) caused the students to walk out of the exam halls.

Third semester students were supposed to appear for the Political Science paper on Friday. The paper has two parts, Indian Constitution and International Relations. Students answer from either one of the two optional parts. However, they were shocked to find the Indian Constitution part was completely missing from the paper. This resulted in chaos during the examination resulting in many students walking out of the exam.

Officials of GU later announced that the Political Science examination was cancelled for that day and has been postponed for a later date. One of the officials, while speaking to the media said, “Due to some confusion, the University forgot to print the Indian Constitution part. We will hold the exam again on a later date.” It is worth mentioning that there was error during the time of issuing admit cards as well.
