GUWAHATI: The AASU (All Assam Students' Union) won most of the seats in the PGSU (Post Graduate Students Union) poll at Gauhati University. The results were declared today.
The winning candidates are Kashyap Kalyan Gogoi as president, Niranjan Borah as vice president, Punyabrat Dutta as general secretary, Dalbir Singh as assistant general secretary, Sourav Deuri as literary secretary, Dubal Kashyap as debate and symposia secretary, Biswajit Daimary as major games secretary, Manjil Saikia as minor games secretary, Habel Boro as sports secretary, Mousumi Ojah as girls' common room secretary, Probhu Boro as gymnasium secretary and Md. Fojail Ahmed Laskar social service secretary.
The result of the music secretary is put on hold as the total number of votes received by both candidates is the same.
Elections for the posts of cultural secretary and boys' common room secretary were postponed following an order from the Kamrup Metropolitan district Munsiff Court on October 17.
