GUWAHATI: The Guwahati Municipal Corporation (GMC) on Saturday inspected poultry shops located at Uzanbazar, Sarabhati, Ganeshguri Kachari Basti, Hengrabari road, Borbari chariali, and VIP Six Mile. Along with the GMC team, a police team also inspected the shops at the aforesaid locations. The team inspected one mutton shop each in Uzanbazar, Sarabhati, Ganeshguri Kachari Basti and Borbari Chariali. A fine of Rs 15,000 was imposed on M/S Bablu Market Shop in Sarabhati for not slaughtering mutton at authorized slaughter home. Another mutton shop from Ganeshguri Kachari Basti was fined Rs 5,000. Further, the teams inspected two poultry shops and two mutton shops in Hengrabari road and two mutton shops in VIP Road Six Mile.
