GUWAHATI: Gorchuk Police seized a huge cache of narcotics on Tuesday night.
Police sources informed that the drug cache was seized during regular checking at the ISBT (Inter-State Bus Terminus) premises here. The drug cache was seized from a passenger identified as Machunar Ali (54 years, son of Md Afaz Ali of Himgiri Path under Fatasil Ambari). He was about to board the 'Night Super' (AS 11AC 9085) proceeding to Mancachar. The drugs were concealed in a black-coloured school bag. The Police team searched the bag with the help of the driver and the handyman "as he seemed to be suspicious".
The bag contained 300 strips of 'SAMPFX+' capsules -- each containing 24 capsules. Altogether 7,200 capsules of the suspected NDPS (Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances) were seized from the person's bag.
