GRP seized more than 2 kg of ivory at Kamakhya Railway Station

Government Railway Police (GRP) on Tuesday seized ivory weighing 2 kg and 340 gm from a passenger at Kamakhya Railway Station.

GUWAHATI: Government Railway Police (GRP) on Tuesday seized ivory weighing 2 kg and 340 gm from a passenger at Kamakhya Railway Station.

The passenger was identified as Sandeep Joshi, a resident of Rajasthan. He was coming from Murkongselek in the Dhemaji district to Guwahati on the Lachit Express. He was handed over to forest department personnel along with the seized ivory.
