Guwahati: An appointment letter distribution ceremony for 18 assistant engineers was held at the Convention and Training Centre, Public Works (Building & National Highway) Department, Lastgate, Dispur. The event commenced with the lighting of the ceremonial lamp and was graced by Krishnendu Pal, Hon’ble Minister of Public Works (PMGSY) Department, as the chief guest.

Other dignitaries present included Chandan Sharma, Commissioner & Special Secretary of PWD (Roads); Debajit Bhuyan, Special Secretary; Paban Terang, Secretary; and senior officials such as the Chief Engineer, Deputy Secretary, and Under Secretaries of the department. The welcome address was delivered by Paban Terang, Secretary of PWD, who set the tone for the event.

In his speech, Minister Krishnendu Pal emphasised the importance of dedicated service for the holistic development of the state. Following his address, appointment letters were handed over to the newly appointed assistant engineers. The ceremony concluded with a vote of thanks from Nayanjyoti Barman, Superintending Engineer (Mechanical), acknowledging the contributions of all attendees.
