Guwahati: Approval letters for PMAY-G distributed in Kamrup-M

Guwahati: With the aim of providing housing to the underprivileged, approval letters for houses under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (Gramin) were distributed at a ceremony organized at the Azara Auditorium in Jalukbari Constituency, Kamrup Metropolitan District.

Kamrup Metropolitan Deputy Commissioner, Sumit Sattawan, distributed a total of 222 approval letters among beneficiaries from five village panchayats under the Ramcharani Development Block in the Jalukbari Legislative Assembly Constituency.

It is noteworthy that at the beginning of the event, a live broadcast of the central PMAY-G programme, held in Palashbari, Kamrup, was displayed. This central event was inaugurated by Chief Minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma, who officially launched the approval letter distribution programme.

The event in Azara was attended by Guwahati Deputy Mayor Smita Roy, Jalukbari Sub-Divisional Commissioner Dr. Jibon Krishna Goswami, Chief Minister's Special Duty Officer Hemanta Choudhury, officials from concerned circles, and other distinguished guests.
