GUWAHATI: "The recent report by Justice Biplab Kumar Sharma on the Assam Public Service Commission (APSC) recruitment scam has exposed the issue of an open job market created during the Congress era. As a result, Congress leaders, including Bhupen Bora, have been left panicked. This unprecedented scam in Assam's history has implicated former Chief Minister Late Tarun Gogoi and his son, MP Gaurav Gogoi. To shield them, Assam Pradesh Congress president Bhupen Borah has resorted to misleading the public by introducing irrelevant topics," said BJP Assam Pradesh chief spokesperson, Manoj Baruah, in a press release issued today.

Referring to the statements made by Bhupen Bora during a press conference today, BJP Assam Pradesh stated that Congress leaders continue to attempt to justify the unprecedented corruption and irregularities in recruitment that occurred under the Congress government. By doing so, the Congress party has once again proven its complete irresponsibility towards the nation's citizens, especially the youth, alleged Baruah.

BJP further stated that Bhupen Bora, known for making inconsistent statements in Assam's political landscape, has once again made contradictory remarks that have turned him into a subject of ridicule. Notably, during today's press conference, Bhupen Bora praised Justice Biplab Kumar Sharma's report on Clause 6 of the Assam Accord while simultaneously dismissing the same judge's report on the APSC recruitment scam as biased. This, BJP pointed out, is nothing but a self-contradictory stance.

Moreover, the Congress party, which had previously demanded that Justice Biplab Kumar Sharma's report on APSC corruption be made public, is now taking a contradictory stance after its release. BJP alleged that this dual-faced approach by Congress exposes the party's hypocrisy. The party further asserted that through such misleading statements, Congress is conspiring to downplay the involvement of former Chief Minister late Tarun Gogoi and his son Gaurav Gogoi in the scam. However, the BJP made it clear that such conspiracies will not succeed under any circumstances.
