GUWAHATI: The police recovered the body of a youth, Saruf Ahmed alias Biki, in mysterious circumstances at Nizarapar under Noonmati Police Station yesterday.
The family members of the youth lodged a complaint with Noonmati Police Station alleging that the fiancée of Biki used an overdosed drug that led to his death. According to police sources, Biki’s fiancée, working in a call centre in Delhi, came to Guwahati for 15 days and stayed with Biki. The police also suspect it to be a case of drug overdose but cannot ascertain it before the post-mortem.
