GUWAHATI: The Border Security Force (BSF), Guwahati Frontier, organized a Pension Adalat today, aimed at the prompt resolution of pension-related grievances of BSF retirees and family pensioners from all seven states of the North East region.
The event was inaugurated by Sanjay Gaur, Inspector General, BSF Frontier headquarters Guwahati, who addressed the gathering with his concern for the difficulties faced by pensioners and their families.
In his address, Gaur assured the retirees and family pensioners that the BSF remains committed to the welfare of its retirees and their families.
He emphasized that initiatives like the Pension Adalat are part of the ongoing efforts to resolve pension-related issues in a timely and efficient manner. The Pension Adalat serves as a direct platform through which retired BSF personnel can take up their grievances and receive immediate assistance. By conducting such localized camps, the BSF ensures that grievances are addressed on-site, providing swift resolutions to the pensioners.
A large number of BSF pensioners attended the Pension Adalat, representing all seven North-Eastern states. They were able to get their issues resolved immediately and were also provided an opportunity to submit vital documents for the revision of their pensions and family pensions. The Pension Adalat served as a key forum for addressing a wide range of issues, with many grievances of pensioners and family pensioners being successfully redressed during the event.
During the Pension Adalat the retirees expressed their gratitude towards the BSF for organizing the event and ensuring the prompt resolution of their grievances. They praised the BSF for its continuous support, not just during their service, but also in post-retirement life.
Issues which generally came to notice during the Pension Adalat will be incorporated in the inbuilt administrative machinery to mitigate the hardship of the pensioners.
