Guwahati: CBC organizes awareness programme on ‘Swachhata Hi Seva’ in city

The Central Bureau of Communication (CBC), Guwahati, under the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Government of India, organized an awareness programme today at Noonmati High School, Guwahati.

GUWAHATI: The Central Bureau of Communication (CBC), Guwahati, under the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Government of India, organized an awareness programme today at Noonmati High School, Guwahati.

The initiative focused on two critical themes 'Swachhata Hi Seva' and 'Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam', promoting cleanliness and environmental sustainability.

Nayanamani Mazumdar, Principal, Brahmaputra Niketan, attended the event and highlighted the importance of community participation in creating a cleaner and greener future. Addressing the gathering, he said, "Swachhata is not just a government campaign but a movement that requires active involvement from every citizen. Similarly, planting a tree in honour of mothers is a step toward preserving the environment for future generations."

The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from the teachers and students of Noonmati Higher Secondary School. A quiz competition based on the themes of the programme engaged the students. Prizes were also distributed at the spot to the winners, a press release said.
