GUWAHATI: A meeting of the Shree Hanuman Janamotsav Trust was held on February 8 at Sanganeri Dharamshala, Fancy Bazar, Guwahati, under the chairmanship of Loknath Mour to announce its new committee to celebrate Shree Hanuman Janamotsav this year. The meeting elected Shailendra Sharma as president, Nawal Kishor Mour as general secretary, and Kishan Lohia as treasurer.

This new team is gearing up to host the Shree Hanuman Janamotsav celebration on April 12, 2025. The event will showcase one of Assam's and Northeast's oldest Hanuman temples situated at Galla Patty, Fancy Bazar, Guwahati, highlighting the rich cultural heritage of the region. Shree Hanuman Janamotsav is a significant festival in the Hindu calendar, celebrating the birth of Lord Hanuman, the devoted follower of Lord Rama. This year's celebration is expected to be a grand affair, with various festivities and rituals planned to commemorate the occasion, a press release said.
