Guwahati: District Child Protection Unit Organizes Street Plays Across City

The District Child Protection Unit (DCPU) of Kamrup Metro organised street plays in various locations across the city at Fatasil Ambari, Hatigaon, Ulubari, and Noonmati.

GUWAHATI: The District Child Protection Unit (DCPU) of Kamrup Metro organised street plays in various locations across the city at Fatasil Ambari, Hatigaon, Ulubari, and Noonmati. The main aim of the awareness campaign is to sensitise the community on issues affecting children, such as child labour, child marriage, child trafficking, illegal adoption, and POCSO cases.

Addressing the crowd, the DCPO Kamrup Metro, Kasturi Das, emphasised the importance of protecting children's rights and ensuring their safety. The street plays were well received by the community, and the event was seen as a significant step towards creating awareness on child rights and protection.

The District Child Protection Unit, Kamrup Metro, and S.C.P.S. Assam are working towards creating a secure environment for children, promoting their well-being, a press release said.
