GUWAHATI: An East Guwahati Police District (EGPD) team from Hatigaon PS, with support from Meghalaya Police, arrested two bike lifters. The arrested persons have been identified as Hilbat Sangma (30) and Jipilson A. Marak (28) from Byrnihat. Police recovered a modified tool from them. Further probing is on.
In a separate incident, an East Guwahati Police District (EGPD) team from Basistha PS apprehended a snatcher named Juwel Ali, aka Babu (23), of Katabari. Police seized two mobile handsets. Legal action has been initiated against the accused.
