GUWAHATI: On Monday, the Guwahati Municipal Corporation took decisive action by deploying a hoe loader to clear unauthorized Construction and Demolition (C&D) waste from Rehabari Road. The swift cleanup initiative is aimed at improving road safety and enhancing traffic flow for both pedestrians and vehicles.

As part of its ongoing efforts to maintain cleanliness and improve infrastructure, the GMC issued a strong warning to residents and businesses, urging them not to dispose of construction materials on the roads. The GMC clarified it that violators who fail to properly dispose of waste will be subject to fines.

In a statement, the GMC said, "Don't dump construction materials on the road, or we'll clean it up for you-for a time." The corporation has called on everyone to responsibly dispose of waste and help keep the city clean.
