Guwahati: The Guwahati Municipal Corporation (GMC) intensified its drive to uphold cleanliness standards by seizing two street vendor carts for repeated violations. The action was taken today at GS Road, below the Ulubari Flyover, and near ASEB Mazar Road.

The vendors were found disposing of waste improperly and failing to use designated dustbins, violating the city’s sanitation guidelines. GMC officials reiterated their commitment to keeping Guwahati clean and warned that similar enforcement actions would continue against offenders. “This initiative is part of our broader mission to maintain a cleaner, more sustainable city. We urge all vendors and residents to comply with cleanliness norms to ensure a better environment for everyone,” a GMC official stated.
