GUWAHATI: The Guwahati Municipal Corporation (GMC) has deployed jet sprays and water sprinklers across the city under the National Clean Air Mission. The initiative aims to wash away dust and stains from sidewalks and road dividers, contributing to a cleaner and healthier urban environment.
The move comes as part of the ongoing efforts to combat rising pollution levels in Guwahati. Regular spraying of water is expected to help in settling dust particles, reducing air pollution, and enhancing the city's overall aesthetic appeal.
Officials have urged citizens to support the initiative by maintaining cleanliness and adhering to waste disposal guidelines. The GMC has assured that similar measures will continue to be implemented to ensure a sustainable and pollution-free environment.
