GUWAHATI: Assam Governor-cum-Chancellor of universities Lakshman Prasad Acharya administered the oath of office to seven vice chancellors at a function held at Raj Bhavan here today in the presence of Chief Minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma. The new VCs thus administered oath are Prof. Taranee Deka for Bongaigaon University, Prof. Niranjan Roy for Gurucharan University, Prof. Jyoti Prasad Saikia for Jagannath Barooah University, Prof. Ganesh Chandra Wary for Kokrajhar University, Prof. Mukul Bora for North Lakhimpur University, Prof. Hitesh Deka for Nagaon University, and Prof. Mahadev Patgiri for Sibsagar University, a press release said.
