GUWAHATI: The International Society for Krishna Consciousness (ISKCON) Guwahati has announced the Guwahati Jagannath Rathayatra Festival-2025, which will be held from Friday, June 27, to Saturday, July 5. The event aims to foster peace, happiness, and communal harmony across the Northeast through devotional and cultural activities.
The Rathayatra procession will commence on June 27 from the Research Gate area and will travel through major city roads including Commissioner of Police Road, Highway Service Lane, Tripura Road, and Jayangar Chariali. The return journey (Ulta Rathayatra) is scheduled for July 5, ending at Kendriya Vidyalaya, Khanapara.
A highlight of the festival is a weeklong spiritual discourse on “Srimad Bhagavatam” from June 28 to July 4 at the Jagannath Temple cum Cultural Complex in Jayangar. The sessions will be delivered by HG Amogh Lila Das Prabhu, Vice President, ISKCON Delhi, along with contributions from scholars and motivational speakers. ISKCON has invited people from all communities, regardless of caste or creed, to join the celebrations and experience spiritual joy, unity, and devotion.
