GUWAHATI: In swift action following a reported case of alleged sexual assault of a 19-year-old girl near City Centre Shopping Mall, a team from Noonmati Police Station on Tuesday arrested the accused, identified as Hemanta Sonowal (26) from Digboi. The arrest took place in Bhangagarh. Police confirmed that both the victim and the accused have undergone medical examinations at Gauhati Medical College and Hospital (GMCH).
