Guwahati Police Hosts Verification Mela To Boost Public-Police Cooperation

The city police took this initiative with the motive to enhance public-police cooperation and facilitate smoother verification and grievance redressal processes.

GUWAHATI: In a significant initiative, a verification mela was organized today at all police stations under Guwahati city with an aim to strengthen the relationship between the public and the police.

Various services to citizens, including passport verification, job verification, and grievance resolution, have been offered through the mela , which commenced at 10 AM and will conclude at 5 pm. Additionally, individuals can also report lost documents related to vehicles, mobile phones, SIM cards, and other important belongings.

The city police took this initiative with the motive to enhance public-police cooperation and facilitate smoother verification and grievance redressal processes. The mela has also been set up at Dispur Police Station, where similar services are being provided.

In order to conveniently resolve the verification-related issues, authorities have urged citizens to take advantage of this opportunity.

Meanwhile, in a bid to bolster India’s defence capability and promote indigenous innovation, the Indian Air Force (IAF) organized an Industry Outreach Event 25 (IOE25). The event was held over two days. The first phase was hosted online on January 13, and the second phase has been planned onsite at Air Force Station Guwahati on January 15.
