Guwahati: Sanjay Hazarika, a distinguished Chartered Accountant and respected figure in Assam’s professional circles, passed away at his residence in Pub-Sarania on Wednesday following a cardiac arrest. He was 72.
A man of remarkable intellect, Hazarika had a stellar academic background and was an All India Rank holder in the Chartered Accountancy examinations. Beyond his professional excellence, he was widely admired for his integrity, humility, and generosity.
Hazarika’s demise has left a void in the accounting and financial fraternity of the state. He is survived by two brothers and their families.
