Guwahati: Rising Bollywood actor Rohit Basfore’s sudden and mysterious death has triggered widespread chaos and shock. The young actor, who had recently embarked on his career in the film industry, had been staying at his home in Barsapara for the past month.
On Sunday, Rohit went on an outing with three of his friends to Garbhanga Forest. Late in the evening, one of the friends informed Rohit’s family about his death. Following the information, SDRF teams along with police personnel launched an investigation, recovering Rohit’s body from a pond inside the forest during the night.
His body was subsequently sent to Gauhati Medical College and Hospital (GMCH) for post-mortem. Meanwhile, the family has alleged that Rohit’s death was not an accident but a murder.
Rohit Basfore had been working on “Family Man 3”, a highly anticipated web series, which is slated for release soon.
