Guwahati: The Samagra Shiksha, Assam (SSA) has launched the second phase of the nationwide campaign “Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam 2.0” as a tribute to mothers and Mother Nature. This initiative coincides with World Environment Day on June 5, and aims to instill environmental awareness and a sense of gratitude among school students.
In a directive issued by Dr. Om Prakash, Mission Director of SSA, all districts have been instructed to ensure that every school actively participates in the campaign. Under this drive, each school is to plant a minimum of five saplings on June 5, with a continued effort to plant at least 70 saplings per school by September 30.
