GUWAHATI: The proposed Great Bend Dam on the Brahmaputra River in Tibet and its potential impact on Northeast India will be the focus of an international seminar in Guwahati on April 8. Organized by Asian Confluence, a leading think tank, the seminar will bring together experts, policymakers, and researchers to discuss water security, ecological integrity, and disaster resilience in the sub-Himalayan region.
Titled “Ensuring Water Security, Ecological Integrity, and Disaster Resilience in the Sub-Himalayan Region: The Case of the Brahmaputra”, the event will feature key speakers such as Member of Parliament Tapir Gao, international journalist and author Bertil Lintner, among other dignitaries.
