GUWAHATI: The Deputy Commissioner of Police (Traffic), Guwahati, has ordered a traffic diversion on the GS Road at Six Mile, Downtown, and Supermarket from 11.30 pm to 4.30 am from March 3, 2025, onwards till the launching and erection of a steel girder of the flyover under construction near downtown hospital.
According to the DCP (Traffic), (i) the plying of all vehicles on GS Road between Six Mile Flyover and Downtown (both tracks) will be stopped with effect from March 3 between 11.30 pm and 4.30 am every day.
(ii) All vehicles coming from the Khanapara side towards VIP Road, Panjabari Road, and Jayanagar Road may ply as usual via the service road of the Six Mile flyover.
(iii). The vehicles coming from the Khanapara side towards Dispur may go via Jayanagar Road-Beltola Bazar Road, Beltola-Survey Road-Last Gate by taking the service lane of the Six Mile flyover.
(iv) The vehicles coming from the Panjabari side towards Dispur may also go via Jayanagar Road-BeltoIa Bazar Road, Beltola-Survey Road-Last Gate.
(v) The vehicles coming from the Chachal-Ananda Nagar side towards Dispur may go via Jayanagar Road-Beltola Bazar Road, Beltola-Survey Road-Last Gate.
(vi) All the vehicles of the Rukminigaon/Rukmininagar area towards Dispur may take either the Betola-Survey Road or the GNRC-Dispur Road.
(vii) The vehicles coming from the Jayanagar side towards Dispur may take the Beltola Bazar Road-Beltola Survey Road.
(viii) The vehicles coming from the Ganeshguri side towards Khanapara will be diverted at the Super Market flyover point towards the Last Gate. All such vehicles may take the Beltola-Basistha Road.
(ix) All vehicles coming from the Ganeshguri side towards Downtown/Six Mile may take the service road of the Super Market flyover and may go via Downtown Bylane-Dwarka Path-Ananda Nagar Path.
(x) All vehicles coming from the Last Gate side towards Downtown may also take the service road of the Super Market flyover and may go via the town bye-lane.
(xi) No vehicle from the other major bylanes (Purbanchal Path/Sun Valley Bye-lane/Down Town Bye-lane) will be allowed to enter the GS Road. All such vehicles may take the Dwarka Path/Ananda Nagar Path to reach the Six Mile side, or they can take the Hengrabari Road/Swahid Dilip Hujuri Path to reach the Dispur side.
(xii) No vehicle from the other major bylanes (Tongra Satra Road/Lakshmi Mandir Path/Rukminigaon Bye-lane) will be allowed to enter the GS Road. All such vehicles may take either Beltola Survey Road or the GNRC Dispur Road.
(xiii) All vehicles coming from the downtown area towards Khanapara may take the VIP Road via Chachal/Ananda Nagar and may proceed to Khanapara via GS Road.
(xiv) All vehicles coming from the downtown area towards Dispur may take Hengrabari Road or Swahid Dilip Hujuri Path.
