GUWAHATI: Due to the planned construction of a Railway Over Bridge (ROB) at R.K. Choudhury Road, near Railway Gate No. 9, under Bharalumukh Police Station, the Guwahati Traffic Police has announced a traffic diversion at the K.R. Choudhury Road tri-junction. Meanwhile, emergency vehicles like ambulances and fire tenders will not face any restrictions.
These traffic rules for vehicle movement will apply from March 14 until the construction is completed:
Vehicles will not be allowed to travel between K.R.C Road tri-junction and Bharalumukh Police Point.
Vehicles coming from Fatasil Chariali or Santipur towards Bharalumukh Police Point will be diverted at K.R. Choudhury tri-junction. They can then go either towards K.R. Choudhury Road or Santipur Main Road near Pragjyotispur College.
Vehicles from K.R. Choudhury Road can go to A.T Road or D.G Road through K.R.B Road and B.R.P Road.
Vehicles travelling from M.G Road or A.T Road can reach Fatasil Chariali through F.A Road, B.R.P Road, or K.R.B Road.
The stretch of F.A Road, from under the Athgaon A.T. Road Flyover to Kumarpara Panchali (via Railway Gate No. 6), will be One-Way. Vehicles can travel from M.G. Road or A.T. Road (via F.A Road) to Kumarpara Panchali or Fatasil Chariali, but not the other way round.
Roadside parking is not allowed on either side of K.R. Choudhury Road, K.R.B Road, B.R.P Road, and F.A. Road.
