Guwahati: Union Minister Sarbananda Sonowal visited the revered Maa Kamakhya Temple on Friday, offering prayers at the conclusion of the annual Ambubachi Mela. Amid the spiritual aura of the Nilachal Hills, Sonowal sought the blessings of the Goddess, expressing deep reverence for the sacred site.

Speaking on the occasion, the minister said, “Every visit to Maa Kamakhya Dham fills me with renewed energy and inspiration to serve the nation with greater commitment.” He also extended his wishes for peace, prosperity, and happiness for all, seeking divine blessings for the days ahead.

The Ambubachi Mela, one of the most significant spiritual gatherings in Eastern India, draws lakhs of devotees each year to the ancient Shakti Peeth in Guwahati.
