Guwahati: A hit-and-run incident has been reported in the city involving a popular Assamese actress. The incident occurred in Dakshingaon on the intervening night of Friday, leaving a man identified as Samiul Haque injured. Haque was rushed to Gauhati Medical College and Hospital (GMCH) and is currently undergoing treatment. According to allegations, the actress fled the scene after the accident and took shelter in an apartment at Kahilipara. A few men who witnessed the incident reportedly followed her, leading to a heated altercation. Initially, the actress allegedly promised to bear the victim’s medical expenses but later denied having made any such assurance.
