GUWAHATI: The Kamrup Metropolitan Administration has asked the Labor Department to organize camps and take efficient steps for the official registration of the  unorganized laborer's from the district in the E-SHRAM portal.

Munindra Bordoloi, ADC Kamrup Metropolitan, presided over a meeting of the District Development Committee on the 14th of December. Education, health, public works, fisheries, forestry, handlooms, lablor welfare, and other continuing developmental efforts were all taken into account by the ADC.

The ADC has issued stern directives for the completion of unfinished work and has requested that camps be set up immediately and that unorganised labourers be registered in the official portal.

The union ministry of labour and employment created the e-SHRAM site in order to create a national database for unorganised workers (NDUW), which will be linked to each worker's aadhaar card. The portal demands information such as name, residence, occupation, educational qualification, skill kinds, and family details, among other things, in order to provide employees with the best possible job credibility and to expand the social welfare benefits accessible to them.
