GUWAHATI: The General Body meeting of All Assam Industries Officers' Association was held at Udyog Bhawan, Bamunimaidam today.
The meeting was chaired by Himanga Dip Das, Additional Director of Industries and Commerce.
The General Body formed a new committee of the All Assam Industries Officers' Association. Views on the amendment of the constitution were exchanged among the officers. The General Body decided to create a corpus fund for the welfare of the employees, cash assistance to children of Grade IV employees securing good marks in board exams, the inclusion of Extension Officers in the association etc. It also decided to pursue the matter of filling up vacant posts and creating additional posts in the Industries and Commerce Department, a press release said.
