GUWAHATI: The much-awaited completion of the second phase of the Intelligent Traffic Management System (ITMS) is causing a delay in its completion due to various reasons.
According to officials, more than 60 traffic points with a budget of Rs 78 crore, including maintenance for five years, will be completed. The work is still in progress, and it is said that it will be done by August.
According to officials, the installation process is complete, but the delay is associated with the commissioning process, which will be done by August. The ITMS is done to ensure better traffic management and rules, which are still not fulfilled in the first phase itself, and people still feel the chaos, but with the second phase, it hopes to improve on the first phase.
