On the other hand, the STF received information on July 31 confirming that a four-member team of the gang has been lodged at the Hotel Ritz, Paltan Bazaar. Immediately, the team of the STF rushed to the hotel and arrested all the accused on the spot.

The STF source added that, earlier, Janab, Nashir, Najir and Hafijuddin were detained along with them a Honda Creta vehicle at Barpathar police station under Karbi Anglong district. However, they could manage to escape from there after producing fake documents. Notably, the STF could also recover the Honda Creta on Tuesday.
