JFA expresses grief over the demise of television journalist Mridul Baruah

GUWAHATI: Journalists' Forum Assam (JFA) condoles the untimely demise of television journalist Mridul Baruah, who breathed his last on Tuesday evening at a Jorhat hospital. The Teok-based correspondent of a satellite Channel was suffering from liver related ailments for some time. The young scribe left behind his wife, a daughter along with a host of relatives and well-wishers.

"Mridul Baruah becomes the thirteenth Assam-based media person, whom we have lost during the Covid-19 pandemic," said JFA president Rupam Barua and secretary Nava Thakuria, adding that earlier veteran journalists Bijay Prakash Barua, Prakash Kr Jha, printer-publisher Rantu Das, scribes Ripul Kalita, Manik Sarma, Pijush Kanti Das, Mozahedul Haque, Padmeswar Chitrakar, Bhaskar Dutta, Pranjal Hazarika died due to various ailments.
