GUWAHATI: Acting on a tip-off a team of RPF (Railway Protection Force) apprehended an NF Railway employee, Biplab Chakraborty from his quarters at Accounts Colony, Pandu on Wednesday night on the charge of issuing fake appointment letters to ten different persons.
In its raid, the RPF sleuths recovered a fake appointment letter, fake seals, a pen drive and other materials from his quarters. Chakraborty issued ten fake appointment letters to as many persons on March 9, 2020.
The RPF filed a case (407/2020 u/s 468/470/471/420) in Jalukbari Police Station against Chakraborty and handed him over to the police. The police arrested Chakraborty and produced him before the court on Thursday. Now he is in judicial custody.
