GUWAHATI: K.C. Das Commerce College and State Innovation and Transformation Aayog (SITA) signed a Memorandum of Agreement (MoA) on Wednesday on the project, namely "Workshop on creating awareness on career planning and development". This was signed with the aim of creating awareness among the students of Assam, imparting knowledge of career planning and development through workshops and relevant interventions, and conducting career guidance in colleges in Kamrup (M) and Kamrup district. The memorandum was signed in the presence of Vice Chairman Sri Ramen Deka and Co-Vice Chairman Dhruba Prasad Baishya at Janata Bhawan, Dispur.
The MoA was signed by M. S. Manivannan, IAS, on behalf of SITA and Dr. Hrishikesh Baruah on behalf of K.C. Das Commerce College, Guwahati, respectively. SITA's collaborating partner, K.C. Das Commerce College, who will be implementing the project with Enrich My Career as its partner, will be working to empower the youth by helping them discover their strengths to develop skills and walk the right career path, thereby making them job-ready, growth-oriented, entrepreneurial, and contributors to the economy. The project is aiming mainly to create awareness among the graduating students of the state to improve their skills and employability to build rewarding careers. Others who were present in the MoA signing programme were Guna Gobinda Das, Advisor (F&A), D.S. Hazari, ARO, Dipankar Bora, LO, and Narendra Sarawgi., stated a press release.
