Kamrup (M) District administration forms teams to monitor markets

GUWAHATI: To monitor the price rise of essential commodities, the Kamrup Metro District Administration on Friday formed two teams to visit all the markets and depots.

The teams will especially monitor the prices of potato, onion, vegetables and mustard oil. The team of officers shall function under the leadership of the Executive Magistrate concerned in respect of their allotted areas and submit a report to Deputy Commissioner BiswajitPegu.

They will monitor the Brahmaputra wholesale vegetable markets, Beharbari/Pamohi wholesale vegetable market, Ruchi&Dalda depot – Nalapara, Nivaj depot – Beltola Kothari Complex, and Gakul depot – Beltola, 7 no, GoliDeura Building.

The second team will be led by Kamrup (M) Assistant Commissioner SrabanaSonowal. The nine officers in Sonowal's team will monitor the Bamunimaidan wholesale vegetable market/Machkhowa wholesale vegetable market/Fancy Bazar GMC wholesale vegetable market, Fortune depot – Pamohi, Engine depot – Fatasil/Fancy Bazar, Dhara depot – Lakhara/Pamohi, and Anupam depot – Lakhara.
