Kamrup (M) District Administration issued 9,000 e-passes so far for private vehicles

GUWAHATI,: In a relief for the people stranded in various parts of the State, the Assam government on April 25 had launched e-passes for inter-district travel. Till Friday, the Kamrup (Metro) District Administration has issued 9,000 e-passes for private vehicles. The passes have been allotted for both one-way and round trip journeys.

In addition to that, the district administration has allotted 159 buses to facilitate more than 3,500 labourers within the State. According to sources, the Kamrup (Metro) Deputy Commissioner office has issued the e-passes on various grounds especially, for medical emergencies.

The team of district administration is working tirelessly for the public. They are trying to attend every call and people who want passes on medical grounds have been given preference," said a source from the Kamrup (Metro) DC office.
