LGBI airport adds new UDAN connectivity to Tezu and Imphal

PALASBARI: As a part of implementing National Civil Aviation Policy in order to develop regional connectivity and the Government's UDAN (Ude Deshka Aam Nagarik) scheme, new connectivity to Tezu and Imphal was launched on Monday at the Lokpriya Gopinath Bordoloi International (LGBI) Airport, Guwahati. The connectivity, six days a week, will be operationalized by Flybig airline.

This is the latest addition of air connectivity in the region under the Government-sponsored UDAN scheme. The passengers from Guwahati to Tezu and Imphal expressed satisfaction over the enhancement of flights connecting to the hill station. Flybig is deploying ATR aircraft with single class configuration offering 70 seats in Economy Class. It will be operated on all days of the week except Monday. The inward sector Flight S9201 will depart from Guwahati at 8:15 am to Tezu and depart from Tezu at 10:00 am to Imphal and land at 11:15 am in Imphal. On the other hand, S9202 will depart from Imphal at 12:00 noon to Tezu and depart from Tezu at 1:40 pm and land at 3:10 pm in Guwahati. However, Flybig decided to operate the route effective from today onwards.
