GUWAHATI: A businessman named Tikendrajit Deka, a resident of Baikuntha Path in the Hatigarh Chariali area here, was arrested by the Geetanagar police on Monday on the charge of defaulting on repayment of a loan taken from the Cooperative City Bank Limited.
According to police sources, he was arrested on the basis of an arrest warrant issued by the CJM Court, Kamrup (M).
Deka had not repaid a loan amounting to over Rs 13 lakh, the sources added.
