APYC claimed the chief minister and the education minister is not taking any positive role, in such a situation where the whole state is against it. Participating in the protest state president of Yuva Congress Kamrul Islam Choudhury said, “We demand the government to cancel their decision of giving NGOs the responsibility of mid day meal and to stop taking such decision for the sake of commission. We warn Dispur that if they don’t listen to our demand we’ll take up mass protest programme in the whole state. However, later on, many protestors were detained.
