GUWAHATI: Petty crimes are on the rise in the city. Chain-snatching and bag snatching incidents are reported every other day.
Early Tuesday morning when people were out for morning walk, two motorcycle-borne youths snatched the handbag of a woman named Bandana Talukdar in the Down Town area of the city. She was standing with another woman when the miscreants came and snatched her handbag, which contained a gold ring, a mobile phone and cash.
