GUWAHATI: Ashlesha Sarma from St Mary' Higher Secondary School, Guwahati secured the 7th rank in the HSLC exam, 2022. She is the daughter of Dr Anupal Kumar Sarma and Dr Subashmita Borthakur. She wants to become an engineer.

This year, 150 students of St Mary' Higher Secondary School secured first division, 16 students secured second division while 60 students secured distinction marks and 42 students secured star marks.

Anasuya Thakuria from GU Model High School (English section), who secured the 9th rank, is the daughter of Dr Chabin Thakuria, associate professor of Tihu College, and Dr Nandita Sarma Thakuria, assistant professor in Krishna Kanta Handique Government Sanskrit College, Jalukbari. Anasuya is the first HSLC exam rank holder of GU Model High School. She aspires to pursue the medical profession and serve people.

This year, 37 students of GU Model High School appeared for the HSLC exam, out of which 35 students passed the exam, 25 students secured first division, 10 students secured second division, 10 students got star marks and 7 students secured distinction marks.

Tenth rank holder Mayank Agarwal from Nichols High School, Satribari, is the son of Mahesh Agarwal and Lakshmi Agarwal. He aspires to study in the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) and become an engineer.
