MoUs with Turkish universities

GUWAHATI, July 7: A four member delegation from four Indian Universities, including the University of Science & Technology Meghalaya (USTM), Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU), Aligarh Muslim University (AMU) and Jamia Millia Islamia (JMU) from New Delhi have left for Turkey to develop academic collaboration with several front ranking Turkish universities and sign Memorandum of Understanding with them. The USTM team is led by Mahbubul Hoque, Chancellor of USTM for the MoU signing agenda, a release stated. Several high level meetings have also been organized, including a meeting with the president of Yunus Emre Institute, Ankara and the president of the Council of Higher Education (Turkish: Yüksekö?retim Kurulu, YÖK, equivalent to UGC). As per the release this is a step forward towards making the university World Class by 2030.
