MRI Facility Inaugurated By General Manomoy Ganguly At Base Hospital

GUWAHATI: A state of the art MRI centre was inaugurated by General Manomoy Ganguly, VSM, Director General Medical Services (Army) at 151 Army Base Hospital, Basistha, Guwahati on January 8, 2019. The newly installed 1.5 Telsa Philip MRI has advanced imaging protocols with latest imaging facility. The centre has MRI compatible anaesthesia machine and MRI compatible equipment to carry out imaging of critically ill patients.

Manomoy Ganguly, a renowned Oncology Surgeon, former president of Indian Association of Surgical Oncology, Professor of Surgery in MCI and various Indian universities told while inaugurating the centre that the newly commissioned MRI centre at 151 Army Base Hospital will go a long way in improving the imaging protocols and will provide quality medical care to serving and retired defence personnel and their families in the entire North East area. The General office who has headed many Oncology Centres in Armed Forces hospitals and reached at the helm of the Indian Army Medical Corps stated a press release.
