GUWAHATI: Navya Ladies Club (NLC) was formed with the aim of uplifting girls and women, focusing on education, healthcare, and hygiene and making them self-reliant.
Well-known Assamese writer Ms Manikuntla Bhattacharya was the chief guest with Ms Seema Goenka Lions District Governor–II as a special guest for the programme. Renowned writer Ms Champa Upadhyay and Advocate of Gauhati High Court & Supreme Court Ms Nirmala Upadhyay marked their gracious presence in the ceremony. Nitu Bakharedia took oath as the founder president. She was followed by Chairperson Lata Chowkhani, founder Secretary Kavita Sharma, Treasurer Poonam Bajoria, Vice President Niva Saraf, and Joint Secretary Pooja Agarwal. Kusum Jain, Sunita Kedia and Rashmi Patwari as executive members.
