GUWAHATI: A three-day training course on 'Soil Investigation for River Engineering Works,' organized by the North Eastern Hydraulic Allied Research Institute (NEHARI) in collaboration with the Central Soil and Materials Research Station (CSMRS) New Delhi successfully concluded with a comprehensive set of lectures and experiments from February 4-6, 2025.
The course aimed to equip engineers and technical personnel with the essential knowledge to carry out soil investigations for river engineering projects, particularly in the Brahmaputra Basin. The programme was inaugurated by Sh. Abhay Kumar, General Manager of Brahmaputra Board along with Dr. Ranjit Deka, Director of NEHARI, Brahmaputra Board and experts from CSMRS to enhance the skills and knowledge of engineers and technical personnel involved in river engineering projects, a press release said.
