GUWAHATI: Officers and staff of Raj Bhavan on Saturday bade farewell to Assam Governor Professor Jagdish Mukhi and the First Lady Prem Mukhi at a function held in the conference hall of Raj Bhavan. Speaking on the occasion, Governor Professor Mukhi thanked the people of the state and Raj Bhavan for the respect, affection, and support given to him during his stint as the governor of the state. He acknowledged the support and cooperation the people of Assam extended to him. He also exuded confidence that, considering the helpful nature of the people and the leadership given by Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma, Assam would go ahead and reach a new height in its growth and development.
It may be mentioned that Professor Jagdish Mukhi took charge as the Governor of Assam on October 10, 2017. The farewell programme was attended by Commissioner and Secretary to the Governor, S.S. Meenakshi Sundaram, other officers, and staff of Raj Bhavan, stated a press release.
